Why ZCU exists
Why build our own blockchain?
Zero Chill is designed to become more than a collection of individual games. We want games, player identities, achievements, competitions, Proof of Play, and future experiences to be able to connect through a shared infrastructure.
ZCU gives Zero Chill a network built specifically around that vision. It also creates an open foundation that developers can build on.

Under the hood
A real Layer 1 network
ZCU is its own blockchain network — not a token on someone else's chain. It's an EVM-compatible Layer 1, so standard Ethereum tooling, wallets, and smart contracts work against it. Blocks are produced with Scrypt proof-of-work using AuxPoW merged mining, and a node-authentication certificate layer secures participation. The full technical detail lives in the developer hub.
